App Store Update Video

If you weren’t around to see our first set of ASU videos last week, it’s the perfect time to get introduced to them today. See footage of today’s featured games in action, accompanied by our editors’ narration:

Game Debuts

Sorcery Craft – ($1.99)

You may have seen this one once before under the name “World of Wizards,” but it’s making an encore appearance with a new name, a new publisher and a new non-freemium approach to pricing. Don’t miss the video above for Justin’s impressions of this one.

Eighty-Eight – ($0.99)

A touch-based falling-block puzzler built on properly lining up numbers. Give it a look:

Red Rusher – ($0.99)

A first-person running rhythm game with sword combat, a black-and-white comic book visual style and a trailer that takes a few liberties with English grammar, Red Rusher is all kinds of interesting.

Amber Route – ($1.99)

A new iOS conversion of a board game based on the ancient trade route built for the transfer of amber from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean. Neat!

Freebies!

Nutty Fluffies Rollercoaster – (Free)

Ubisoft’s stepping into the free app arena to offer up Nutty Fluffies, a rollercoaster design that’ll have you sending more than a few happy puppies sailing off the sides of unfinished amusement park rides.

China Archer – (Free)

Hua Rong, China’s legendary archer of antiquity, offers you this modern tale of his ancient adventures for no cost today.

Stupid Game Plus – (Free)

One of the App Store’s alternatives to Nintendo’s Brain Age series, playing the Stupid Game is supposed to keep you from becoming stupid yourself.

Stupid Game HD – (Free)

… and he’s the iPad version of the same.

That’s it for today! Email subscriptions to the App Store Update are still just one sign-up away, right here:

Lucas M. Thomas is going to make sure he doesn’t get on the Red Rusher’s bad side. You can follow Lucas on Twitter, @lucasmthomas.
