Yesterday we got our first official look at part of the new costume design for Marc Webb's currently-shooting The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And now we know why that image was released: Because as production happens on the streets of New York City, spy photos are going to start pouring in of Spidey's new duds. This way, Sony and Webb were at least able to get a quality image out of the suit yesterday, one that seems to have made fans happy for the most part. And now… we begin obsessing over the details in blurry amateur shots!

If anything, the new photos that are floating around indicate even more of a return to the classic Spidey design than the official shot hinted at -- Spider-Man's belt, boots and gloves all appear to be back.
